What personal attributes, skills, or knowledge would you bring to the State Board of Directors if elected?
I am a well rounded recreation professional. I have program exp in all areas from youth and family to senior and sports. I also worked with teens and love special events. Training employees is one of my strong suites and know I have help further the mission of CPRS.
Why have you chosen to run for the CPRS State Board of Directors?
I believe in growing as an individual and pushing myself our of my comfort zone. I want to expose myself to knew programming and training elements. I believe in the mission of helping our communities grow and teach our youth to be better people. So they can help to continue to create a beautiful and sustainable society.
What is the greatest challenge our profession faces and how will you lead to address that challenge?
I believe that recreation is changing as our society changes. The old school drop by the community center feel especially for our youth isn't as popular as it was 10 years ago. Technology has changed the way our youth see the world and their community. We have to evolve and grow with our kids. How do we get them to visit our community centers and drop in programs.
